Submitting a request

- Please send artwork as a pdf document.
- A postal delivery service is available. See below for details.
- Debit/credit card payments are preferred (we are not able to take payment from your Herts ID card)
PGR students: If you are a PGR student and a staff member, please remember to submit work-related jobs using the process outlined on HertsHub and use your staff username.

- Monochrome printing
- Colour printing, including flyers, business cards, dissertations, invites, orders of service, table plans, and any/all other printing
- Clear or white printing up to A3

Pricing and payments
- Document Services price list
- Document Services operates a cashless system and can take payment by credit or debit card.
- Please be aware that payment cannot be taken from your print credit account (as used on the self-service printing devices around campus).
Postal delivery service
We can process and then post your work back to you.
- Please provide a contact number when ordering so we can call you to arrange payment over the phone and obtain your delivery details.
- The postal fee will be determined by Royal Mail.
- As per GDP Regulations, all personal data will be destroyed after use.

Large format printing up to A0
- Large format lamination is available up to A0 in matt or gloss finish.
- Costs for large format printing sizes are available in our price list. Other lengths are available - please call us to discuss prices and materials.
- Collection time provided on submission of your file/s.
- Please note your document can only be accepted in a single file pdf format. Please indicate the name and path of the relevant file when you submit your document.
Printing and binding supplies
- You can purchase binders and card to take away to use. Please note that there are no self-service binding machines available in the LRCs.
- If you require specific materials for your job, please contact us a week in advance to allow us time to purchase the required stock.
- If you provide your own stock, please check the suitability with a team member prior to submitting it. Where possible we also require the make, stock type, and weight.
- Stock must remain flat for us to cut to size for you.
When will my print job be ready for collection?
- Document Services will try to produce work as quickly as possible, but this will vary according to the requirements of your job.
- Certain times of year are busier than others, for example before and during the start of term the lead time can be up to 5-7 working days
- Please plan ahead if you are working to a deadline. If you want to check current lead times or discuss your request you can contact the Document Services Team via email projectprint@herts.ac.uk or call 01707 285065 /284024, or 07889 652523
Important information
- We can only process colour print jobs if you provide them in pdf format.
- If you submit your work electronically after 15.00, the time starts from 08.30 the next morning.
- We reserve the right to make changes to this and our general procedures as guidance and needs arise.
