What is UH Online?
UH Online refers to the University courses which at the time of initial application by the student are advertised as being an online course, which means that they are designed to be delivered, taught and assessed via web-based learning.
⚠️UH Online does not refer to any programme which was intended to be campus based and due to circumstances has been amended to be delivered wholly or partly online.
UH Online Postgraduate Tuition Fees
For UH Online postgraduate students, the amount of tuition fees you need to pay depends on the number of credits (modules) you are studying this year .
The University offers a variety of ways in which you can pay your Tuition Fees:
- 100% payment before registration (i.e. full fee per module/ or full course fee)
- Deadline Payment Date per module depending on module start month are as follows:
o September 2025 start - full payment required by 1st November 2025
o November 2025 start – full payment required by 9th January 2026
o January 2026 start - full payment required by 6th march 2026
o March 2026 start – full payment required by 16th May 2026
o May 2026 start - full payment required by 11th July 2026
o July 2026 start – full payment required by 5th September 2026

Where possible these arrangements can be set up on our recurring card payment system so that the balance can be taken from your account automatically and the receipts emailed to you.
These payment options can be set up using the Tuition Fee Payment (UHOnline) option on our online payment portal herts.ac.uk/makeapayment You will need your Student ID number and a valid UK debit/credit card.

⚠️An instalment plan can only be entered into with a valid debit or credit card for recurring card payments. You will need to set up a new instalment plan for each module, depending on the start month to ensure that card details and course fees are still valid. It is the student’s responsibility to set up a new plan each Start month. If a plan is breached a new plan will not be offered.
