Individual Applicants
If you are applying as an individual applicant you can apply for any of our rooms at College Lane or de Havilland.
If you're applying as an individual you will also have the opportunity to select exactly which room you would like with our new Book Now option.
During the application process you will be asked if you wish to choose your own room. If you select this option you will be able to see which rooms are available for you to choose.
Once you select the room you will be taken to the deposit and payment pages as normal.
Your application will be subject to a debt and disciplinary checking process both at the time of application and, if you receive an offer of accommodation, at various times throughout the year until you occupy the room(s).
If you have additional medical requirements or wish to live in a single sex or twin room, please do not choose the Book Now option and instead progress your application to pick 5 room preferences for us to then make you a room offer as below.
Group Applications
Our Group application option lets you apply as a group of up to 12 persons to be housed together in 42 and 50 week Townhouses, and Single En-Suites on de Havilland .
If you're applying as a group, the Group Leader should start the application for the group. The rest of the group will then automatically receive an 'Invitation to Apply' email containing further information on how to join a group.
Please do not apply before you receive this email as you will block the whole group.
Remember if any of your group are on a course which starts teaching early e.g. Nursing, please ensure the group leader is also on an early course so that your group is offered accommodation for the correct dates. If the group leader has a standard course start date the whole group will be offered rooms from 20/09/25 and rooms may not be available earlier.
Your application will be subject to a debt and disciplinary checking process both at the time of application and, if you receive an offer of accommodation, at various times throughout the year until you occupy the room(s).
If you or any members of the group have a debt then you may not be able to complete the booking for the whole group so please make sure that everyone has cleared any outstanding monies owed to the University before the Group Leader applies for the accommodation.
