Herts SU is separate from the university. Our advice & support team offers confidential, impartial help with academic and non-academic concerns.

Advice and support we provide

We can help with:

  • Understanding university policies and procedures
  • Academic issues like appeals, extensions, misconduct, complaints, or fitness to practice investigations
  • Housing problems, including disputes with housemates or landlords

Other services

We also offer the following services:

  • Attend meetings or hearings with you for support
  • Free sexual health supplies: chlamydia/gonorrhoea test kits, condoms, and pregnancy tests
  • Report hate crimes or incidents (we’re a third-party reporting centre)
