Disruption on campus

Current disruption on campus

Tuesday 28 February: Lifts out of service

A number of lifts across our campuses are currently out of service. Our Estates team are working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible, but they are experiencing issues with sourcing the parts required to return them to service as quickly as we would like.

The lifts affected are:

College Lane campus

  • Wright Building: both lifts are unavailable, with no step-free access to the upper floors of the building.
  • CP Snow building: lift unavailable, with no step-free access to the upper floors of the building.

de Havilland campus

  • Enterprise Hub: lift unavailable, with no step-free access to the upper floors of the building.

The College Lane LRC lifts have now been fixed, and all the other lifts will be fixed as soon as possible.

If you have any concerns or are worried, please contact the Student Wellbeing team or a disability/mental health adviser (if applicable). Wherever possible, we are working on relocating those who cannot access their classes or facilities on campus.

Works near the LRC Annexe on College Lane

There are currently works taking place next to the LRC Annexe on the College Lane campus.  These are rather noisy but no works should take place before 8am or at weekends.  If you have any concerns or queries please contact Estates.  To find out more about the project go to   https://www.herts.ac.uk/about-us/campus-investment/specs-building
