What is the University Day Nursery?

The University Day Nursery provides childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is available to University of Hertfordshire students and staff and offers a safe, supportive environment where children can learn and develop through play and structured activities.

Find out more about the nursery, facilities and daily activities on the University Day Nursery webpage.

How do I apply for a nursery place?

To apply for a nursery place, complete the Nursery Application Form and email it to the nursery team.

Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and depend on:

  • availability of sessions
  • your child's age
  • the balance of places allocated to students and staff

Submitting an application form does not guarantee a place. The nursery team will contact you to discuss availability and next steps.

How much does childcare cost?

A £75 registration fee is required before a nursery place can be confirmed. Places cannot be held until the acceptance and indemnity paperwork has been completed and returned.

For full details of nursery fees, funding options and financial support, visit the Nursery fees and financial support page.
