Hertfordshire Students' Union's Covid-19 Update

How the Students' Union is responding to the outbreak of Covid-19

Just like the rest of the world, we've been busy responding to the escalating, ever-changing and seemingly difficult situation the Covid-19 outbreak has caused.

Students' Union Staff

Following the latest government guidance regarding social distancing, all Hertfordshire Students' Union staff will now be working from home for the foreseeable future. We have closed the offices on each campus, along with Hutton Hall and The Forum Hertfordshire. Our working conditions have changed but don't worry, it's not all bad! We're still working as normal, just from the comfort of our homes. Please be assured that we are still here to support and represent you. Although we might not be physically present, we are still responding to general emails and student queries. Where possible, our work telephone numbers have been redirected to staffs' work mobile phones. Our Advice & Support service is still operational through virtual means, should you need to seek advice.

Advice & Support Centre

Our Advice & Support team are working as normal, with the exception of face-to-face consultation. All advice will be given over the phone or by email. To book an appointment, and for other advice related information, please visit the Advice & Support page.

Key Contacts

You may continue to correspond with Students' Union staff as normal by email and, where possible, phone call. If you don't have a contact within the Students' Union already, but would like to get in touch, please find some key contact details below:

Students' Union Events

With students' best interests in mind, we have made the decision to cancel all of our events until the end of April at least. This includes daytime events/activities and those run in The Forum Hertfordshire. Summer Ball, which was due to take place in May, has also been cancelled.

Despite having to cancel our planned events, we're committed to keeping students and staff at UH connected while we're advised to socially distance ourselves. Take a look at the online events we're running in the coming weeks and get involved! We'd love to see loads of you there, albeit virtually.

Stay safe and continue to be kind to one another!
