This notice is provided to set out information about this survey, who processes your responses, what they use it for and any rights you may have under data protection legislation. The University is committed to protecting your personal information and being clear about what information we hold about you and how we use it. Any personal information will be kept strictly confidential by all parties involved and all information is used in compliance with data protection legislation (the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What is our Educational Gain Survey?

The survey has been designed to get a sense of how you feel your skills have developed through your University experience. It will also provide a good opportunity to reflect on your development and see how far you have come. The results will form part of our and your Students’ Union’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) submissions, which is required of all universities

Whilst we strongly encourage students to participate in the survey, your participation is voluntary and you can stop at any point.

How will this data be used?

The responses to the survey will be collated by the University. We will only be asking you how you feel your University experience has helped your skills and personal development. This data will solely be used in relation to the Educational Gain Survey. The University is committed to ensuring the anonymity of respondents and therefore no results will be made available either internally or externally which could identify individuals. The University may decide to publish the results of the Educational Gain Survey internally and we can assure you that you will not be identifiable in any published results.
