Food court refurb
The de Havilland Food Court will be closing for a makeover from Monday 25 March.
The works, which will refresh the seating area to provide a welcoming new space for staff and students, are expected to take around five weeks - we’ll share an update on our plans for reopening as the project progresses.
Alternative food options on campus
From Monday 8 April (following the Easter break) we’ll be providing additional options at other locations on campus:
- Food Truck, near the Law Court Building and Enterprise Hub, open 11.00 - 15.00 Monday to Friday, offering:
- The Loaded Chip - A selection of deliciously loaded fries
- Stacked Sando - Gourmet toasted sandwiches for a hearty meal
- Café Ambition, open from 08.00 - 18.00 for drinks and grab and go food, plus a hot menu from 11.00 - 15.00, including:
- Pranzo Pizza - pizza by the slice or a whole one to share
- Joe de Frango - savor the spice with piri piri chicken
- Street Food on Tour - a daily special bringing you flavours from around the world
- A variety of sandwiches, paninis, and salads for those looking for a lighter option
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this work causes. We’re working hard to improve our campus, and we look forward to seeing you in the new space soon.
Keeping safe in our outlets
Like our other services around campus, we’ve had to make a few changes to our outlets to ensure we can keep both staff and students as safe as possible. We will continue to follow government guidelines.
We advise a face covering at all times in our shops and food outlets when not seated at a table, unless you are exempt.
We have moved to 'contactless' payment in all of our outlets. Students can add cash to the UPAY app to be used in all catering and retail outlets (except the SU Bars in the Forum).
Dietary requirements
Dietary Requirements? No problem! We cater for all dietary requirements such as gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and halal.
