Graduate Progression Fund 2025/26: funding for job search and interview costs

Eligible Herts graduates can apply for up to £150 to help cover job hunting costs, including interview travel, professional clothing, devices and software.

Graduate Progression Fund 2025/26

The Graduate Progression Fund provides up to £150 to eligible graduates to help with the costs of finding employment after graduation.

The funding can be used towards:

  • Travel to interviews
  • Interview clothing
  • Devices
  • Software
  • Other job search-related expenses

Who can apply?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Studied a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Hertfordshire's Hatfield campus.
  • Graduated in 2024/25 or are graduating in 2025/26.
  • Met one or both of the University's Access and Participation Plan criteria during your studies:
  1. You received Free School Meals at school.
  2. You come from or live in an area with higher levels of socio-economic disadvantage (IMD Quintile 1).
  • Apply by 30 June 2026 at 11.59pm.

Who cannot apply?

You are not eligible if you:

  • Do not meet the criteria above.
  • Have previously received the Graduate Progression Fund.
  • Were studying through a degree apprenticeship.
  • Were enrolled on a distance learning course.
  • Studied through a University consortium partner.

How do I apply?

Apply through Blackbullion by 30 June 2026 at 11.59pm.

As part of your application, you'll need to:

  • Complete the application form.
  • Tell us how you plan to use the funding.
  • Accept Blackbullion's Terms and Conditions.

We'll check your eligibility using information held in your student record.

When will I receive my payment?

Eligible graduates can receive up to £150, paid as a single payment.

Payments are usually made within two weeks of a completed application being approved, provided:

  • All required information has been submitted.
  • The correct bank details have been supplied.

Bank details

We'll use the bank details already linked to your student record.

If your details have changed, or we do not hold them, we'll contact you with instructions on how to provide updated information.

Funding decisions

Funding decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
