It is recommended that all business school students enrol onto the module so that it remains available on your canvas dashboard.

CASE encompasses 4 distinct teams who deal with different types of enquiries:

  • The academic skills team deal with all requests related to communication (reading, writing, presenting), teamwork, critical thinking, referencing, plagiarism, time management, plus understanding and applying tutor feedback to your work.
  • The statistics and numeracy team deal with any math and statistical enquiries.
  • The technology team deal with all software issues related to your studies at HBS such as Studynet/ Canvas, MS office, Teams, Zoom, Bristol online surveys, and Qualtrics (for Nvivo access, please contact the library helpdesk).
  • If English is your second language and you are looking specifically for help with grammar and use of English, then the Academic English for Business (AEB) team offer support through a variety of channels; more information about this can be found on the Academic English for Business (AEB) programme site.

Related support at HBS

While CASE do not offer pastoral support we do work with the HBS personal tutors, and both Ann Campbell and Paige Bircham the HBS pastoral support advisers are on hand to guide you when things seem to be going wrong - after all, there may be times when something happens in your personal life that has an impact on your studies - meaning it may be difficult to focus, meet deadlines and take exams or even attend university for a while. We have various support processes at HBS so, if anything happens that is affecting your studies, seek advice as soon as possible so that the pastoral support team can provide support and advise you on your options to achieve the best possible outcome for your individual circumstances.

For more information, or to book an appointment to speak to someone in confidence, contact the Pastoral Support advisers in M242a, email: tel: 01707 28 4869
