Residence Life support
The Residence Life team is here to support students living in University accommodation and help you have a positive experience in halls.

- Monday to Thursday: 8.30 to 17.00
- Friday: 8.30 to 16:00
Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident Assistants (RAs) are trained student support staff who provide support and guidance to students living in University accommodation. The RAs can offer advice, signpost services and help with concerns affecting your wellbeing or accommodation experience.
RAs are available:
- 24/7 support,365 days a year (including University holidays)
- Call 01707 281010 after hours/weekends.
- RAs are trained students who can help with any issue.
Who can I contact for support?
Contact Residence Life, an RA or Security if you:
- Feel unwell or need wellbeing support
- Feel low, anxious or depressed
- Are being threatened, bullied or harassed
- Have concerns about alcohol or drug misuse
- Need help with a serious noise complaint
- Are locked in or locked out of your room
- Have concerns about another student living in halls

Residence Life events
Residence Life runs regular events and activities to help students:
- Meet other residents
- Build friendships
- Improve wellbeing
- Learn new skills
- Feel part of the Herts community
Events are free for students living in University accommodation.
Most activities do not require booking, although some events may require a ticket.
