The Student Immigration Team (Advice) can:
- Advise you in how to make a successful visa application at a drop-in session or scheduled appointment
- Assist you in completing your online visa application at a scheduled appointment
Once the Home Office has processed your application, they will send your Biometric Residence Permit card to Ask Herts (Hutton Hub). We will then contact you via your Student Record email address to confirm it has arrived. Please ensure that your email address is correct on your Student Record and you check your emails regularly.
The Student Immigration Team (Advice) cannot:
- Submit late applications.
- Guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application or speed up the application process. The standard processing time is approximately 2 months but in busy times (September to January) these processing times can be much longer.
DO NOT make any travel plans until after you have received your new BRP card.
If you need to leave the UK after your application has been submitted, you will need to request the withdrawal of your application – you will lose your application fee and will then have to return home immediately to make a new application from outside the UK.
