What support is available?

The Careers and Employment website gives you access to our full range of resources including our interactive Handshake community which provides live vacancies, access to careers and enterprise appointments, employer events, and more.

Keep an eye on the Events section on Handshake for details of when the Careers and Employment service are holding employer events. These events involve representatives from external companies coming onto campus to inform students of the current vacancies they have. We hold various fairs throughout the year specifically for: work experience, volunteering, placement and graduate opportunities. Recruitment and careers fairs are one of the best ways to find work opportunities in your area of interest. It is an excellent opportunity to meet potential employers face to face and market yourself to your chosen industry.

UH international students are also not eligible to undertake a self-employed placement year or placement working from home.
