On-campus shuttle service at the start of term
If you're arriving before Monday 28 September, travel arrangements will be different until the full inter-campus shuttle bus service starts.
From 21 September to 25 September
- A reduced shuttle service will run between College Lane, de Havilland and Angerland Park and Ride every 30 minutes.
- The full inter-campus shuttle bus timetable will begin on Monday 28 September.
Before the full shuttle service starts
You can travel between College Lane and de Havilland campuses free of charge on Uno routes 602, 610, 614 and 653.
To travel for free, you must board at one of the approved shuttle stops:
- de Havilland campus
- Opposite The Comet (outside Maclaurin)
- Todd Building (both directions)
- College Lane campus
Important: If you board routes 602, 610, 614 or 653 from any other bus stop, you will be charged the standard fare (currently £2.50).
If you have not yet received your student ID, drivers will be aware that some new students may not have University identification available.
How do I travel between campuses?
During term time
Use the inter-campus shuttle bus (route 690), which runs between:
- Angerland Park and Ride
- College Lane campus
- de Havilland campus
Outside term time
Use Uno bus routes:
- 602
- 610
- 614
- 653
Is travel between campuses free?
Yes, travel between College Lane and de Havilland campuses is free for students.
To travel free of charge, you must:
- Show your student ID card or mobile ID
- Join the bus at an approved shuttle stop
You can use:
- The inter-campus shuttle bus (route 690)
- Other Uno buses travelling between the two campuses
Where are the shuttle bus stops?
Free travel applies when boarding at:
- de Havilland campus
- Opposite The Comet (by the pond)
- Todd Building
- The Forum
When do I need to pay?
You will need to buy a ticket for:
- Journeys to Bishops Rise on route 653
- Journeys to or from Hatfield station
Bus times and timetables
During term time, buses run:
- Every 10 to 15 minutes from Monday to Friday
- Every 20 minutes on Saturdays between 7.00am and 8.00pm, with some later services

How do I travel from Hatfield Station
From Hatfield station, you can catch Uno bus services to either campus. Standard bus fares apply for journeys to and from the station.
