What changes do I need to report to UKVI?
If you have an eVisa, you can update the following details through your UKVI account:
- name
- term time address
- mobile phone number
- nationality
- date of birth
- gender
Some other changes cannot be reported through your UKVI account. These include getting a criminal conviction or changes to certain family circumstances. You will need to complete a change of circumstances form for these changes.

How do I update my address with UKVI?
If you have an eVisa, sign in to your UKVI account to update your address.
If you cannot access your eVisa, check the GOV.UK guidance for other ways to report a change of address.

Do I also need to update my details with the University?
Yes. You must keep your UK contact details up to date with the University, including your address, email address and mobile phone number.
You can update your:
- home address
- term-time address
- email address
- phone number
through your Student Record.
If your immigration status or visa changes, you must also tell the University immediately

Depending on your circumstances, you may also need to update your details with organisations such as your:
- bank
- GP surgery
- insurance provider
- driving licence issuer.
If you drive or keep a vehicle in the UK, you may also need to update your driving licence, vehicle log book (V5C) and other details with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
