Our Spaces, Opening Times and Activities

Information on our multi-faith spaces and their opening times.

Please see below for opening times and Activities.

The Key is a multi-faith and multi-cultural centre, on the College Lane Campus. It is above the the Forum on the path up towards the Halls of Residence. (Directions: go through the forum, up the steps and exit the top of the building. follow the path round to the right and go up the Jacob's Ladder steps or use the lift. The Key is to your right.) It is open 8 am to 10 pm daily.

The Key offers a quiet space on College Lane, as well as being a place for more formal acts of worship. It has a large, circular, room ('The Robert Runcie Rotunda') where there is space for reflection, prayer and worship. In 'The Living Room' there is a welcoming, comfy space with an outside deck. You can just sit and chat or just relax. The Olive Hall consists of three 'zones', with space suitable for Muslim prayer and a shared space for meditation. Normally, on Fridays the hall is opened out into one space for Jum'ah Prayers. The whole of the Olive Hall is a 'no shoes' area and there are designated wudu rooms for men and women.

The Multi Faith Space on de Havilland is a single, shared space, meeting a variety of needs.  It is opposite the SU shop, and is open daily from  8 am to 10 pm. It is a place of prayer but also hosts reflections, services and other activities. There is a Chaplaincy Office, led by Reverend Fiona Souter. Why not drop by for a chat?
