- Report any damaged plugs, sockets, switches, or cables to estates@herts.ac.uk.
- Use the original charger for your device or one from a reputable brand.
- Avoid cheap, unbranded chargers — they can cause fires, shocks, or injuries.
- Use the correct adaptor for non‑UK plugs. Don’t force a plug into a socket.
If your building (e.g., labs or workshops) has its own rules, follow those instead.
