Social Life in Accommodation

Parties and BBQs

We understand that sometimes you would like to let your hair down. If you wish to have a party or BBQ on campus then you need to obtain permit from one of your Student Support Officers.  

Things to remember

• As the organiser you need to accept responsibility for the behaviour of your guests
• Please take into account fire and general safety precautions
• You could be held liable for any damage or disturbance caused by guests
• No external music is permitted at a BBQ
• You are allowed a maximum of 20 people at your party

Common Rooms

There are several common rooms on the College Lane campus:

• They are open from 8am to 12 midnight all year round
• Organised parties are not permitted
• Rooms are to be kept in a reasonable condition.
