The SNA identifies how you can be supported; this may be a simple adjustment to allow you to record in lectures, or have additional time to complete tasks. Each adjustment will be made dependent on your disability or difficulty, the type of support you might be able to access can be discussed in your first appointment.
SNAs can be written for any reason, some of those might be - Specific Learning Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Physical difficulties, Sensory difficulties, Mental Health conditions, Long term health conditions. If you arent sure if you would be eligible please fill in our Support for your studies form and we can discuss that with you.
Student Wellbeing can offer a range of support, some of that might be:
- Support from a specialist support worker eg a specialist study skills tutor, mentor or notetaker
- Support to have open discussions with your academic school about your strengths and challenges
- Sharing informaiton with your academic school which you decide will be supportive in class or assessments
- Reasonable adjustments for your studies.
- Reasonable adjustments for your placements
You can meet with an Adviser to get your SNA in place for your studies, and you can always ask for changes if it is not quite right for you.
If ever you want to see a copy of your SNA you can log on to Symplicity at any time, using the link below.
