Am I eligible for support?
The Student Success Team provides support and guidance to help refugee and displaced students succeed at university.
You may be eligible for support if you:
- have Home fee status
- are studying a full-time undergraduate degree
- have an eligible immigration status
- have your status confirmed by the Student Immigration Team
Eligible immigration statuses:
- Refugee status
- Humanitarian Protection
- Section 67 leave
- Calais leave to remain
- Leave granted under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
- Leave granted under the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS)
- Leave granted under the Ukraine schemes (including eligible family members)
What support is available?
The Student Success Team is dedicated to supporting you throughout your time at Herts and beyond.
Support may include:
- a dedicated point of contact
- personalised advice and guidance
- pastoral support
- opportunities, events and activities available through Student Success
Financial support and bursaries
If you are eligible, you may be able to access:
Refugee Student Bursary
A bursary worth £1,000 per year of undergraduate study, subject to eligibility checks.
Student Opportunity Fund
Access to funding that can help support opportunities and experiences that benefit your studies and future career.
