Before making your decision
It is important that you get the advice and support you need when making the decision to transfer to or restart on a different course. If you are considering changing courses, please discuss your options and seek guidance from the following:
- Your current Programme Leader.
- The Programme Leader for the course you are considering transferring to.
- The Student Finance team, in case, transferring to or restarting a new course will impact your funding. This is particularly important if you are EU Student so you can check whether a transfer or restart will affect your funding eligibility. You may also be liable for a proportion of tuition fees for the course you are transferring from so please check with Student Finance.
- International students studying on a Student Visa should also read the information on Ask Herts regarding future visa applications before submitting a request. International students transferring to a course that has a course end date which is before their CAS end date could be reported to the Home Office as an early course completer. If a student is reported as an early completer the visa length could be shortened by the Home Office and travel back to the UK on the student visa prohibited. If you have any concerns about your visa, you should also seek advice from the Student Immigration Team – Advice.
If you wish to proceed

Student Visa Holders must complete the following sections:

- Ask your new Programme Leader to fill out and sign Section 5.
- Send the completed form and any attachments to Ask Herts so that your transfer request can be processed.
