We are currently receiving a high volume of refund requests. It may take longer than 28 working days to process your application.
Please do not send follow-up emails, as this can delay processing for all students. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
How to apply for a tuition fee refund
Follow the steps below to check your eligibility and submit your application.
1. Check your eligibility
Before applying, check whether you are eligible for a refund and how much you may receive.
Refund amounts depend on liability points during the academic year. These dates affect how much of your tuition fee can be refunded.

These dates do not apply to UH Online (distance learning) students or research students.
2. Complete the refund application form
You must complete a tuition fee refund form before a refund can be processed.
Payment by bank transfer
If you paid by bank transfer, you will receive a secure link to provide your bank details if needed.
The bank details must match the original payment source. If these details are not provided, your refund may be delayed.
Payment via online providers
If you paid through an online provider such as Flywire or Convera, your refund will be returned automatically to the original payment method.
After completing the form, send it with any supporting documents to
refunds@herts.ac.uk
Please allow up to 28 working days for processing.
