Information about refund eligibility and how to apply.

ℹ️We are currently receiving a lot of refund requests, so it may take more than 28 days to process yours. Please be patient and do not to send follow‑up emails, as this can slow things down. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.

⚠️ There are different liability points throughout the academic year which will impact how much of your fees can be refunded.  To check the liability dates please click here these  dates do not  apply to UH Online students (distance learning) or Research students.

Complete the refund application form 

Refunds can only be returned after filling out a tuition fee refund form.

If you made payment by bank transfer, we will send you a secure link to collect your bank details, if required. In line with regulations, the details you provide must match the original payment source. Failure to provide source bank details will delay the processing of your refund. 


For all other payments made through our online payment providers, such as Flywire and Convera, refunds  will be issued automatically back to the original card or bank details you paid with. Please complete this form and send, alongside any supporting documentation to refunds@herts.ac.uk. Please allow up to 28 working days for your refund to be processed.
