UH Online Registration (Stage 2)

A list of everything you'll need to provide to become a registered distance-learning student with the University

Identification

In order to register at the University of Hertfordshire you will be required to email an identification document to AskUHOnline@herts.ac.uk. Accepted forms of identification are:
 

All students (UK and International)

Please provide:

  • A scanned copy of your Original Passport - A passport is our preferred form of identification for all students.

OR if you are unable to provide a passport for any reason we also accept these forms of identification:

  • A scanned copy of your Birth Certificate AND a Photo Identification document (e.g. driving license) - both documents combined
  • A scanned copy of your National Identification Card 
Please note: You’ll also need to provide a certified translation of any documents that aren’t in English or Welsh.
 

International students living in the UK

  • Passport AND Visa/Biometric Residence Permit (if required) - If you were born outside of the UK (even if you now have British nationality) you must provide a passport and relevant visa (if needed to be in the UK) in order to be registered.
Without showing an accepted form of identification you will not be able to register.
 

Digital Photo

If you did not upload your digital photo as part of Registration (Stage 1), you will need to email it to AskUHOnline@herts.ac.uk along with your identification documents.
