What is UH Online?
UH Online refers to courses that are advertised as online at the point of application. These courses are designed to be delivered, taught and assessed entirely online.
UH Online does not include campus‑based courses that have been temporarily delivered wholly or partly online due to circumstances.
Who this information applies to
ℹ️This information applies only to UH Online (distance learning) undergraduate students.
It does not apply to:
- other undergraduate students (including foundation and initial year)
- students at The Millennium University College (TMUC)
- postgraduate students
If you fall into one of the groups above, you must follow the University’s standard payment options or the guidance provided to you.

When do I need to pay my tuition fees?
The amount you pay each semester depends on the number of credits (modules) you study in that semester.
- Semester A modules must be paid for in Semester A
- Semester B modules must be paid for in Semester B
- Semester C modules must be paid for in Semester C
If a module runs across two semesters, it must be paid for in the semester it starts.
For example, a module running across Semester A and B must be paid for in Semester A.
Paying in full
You can choose to pay:
- 100% of your tuition fees before registration (full academic year), or
- 100% per semester by the dates below
Semester payment deadlines
- Semester A (September–January): Friday 12 September 2025
- Semester B (January–June): Friday 9 January 2026
- Semester C (June–September): Friday 8 May 2026
Can I pay tuition fees by instalment plan?

How can I pay my tuition fees?
Where possible, instalment plans are set up using our recurring card payment system, which:
- automatically collects payments
- emails receipts to you after each payment
Payments are made via the online payment portal. You will need:
- your Student ID number
- a valid UK debit or credit card

⚠️ Important information about instalment plans
- Instalment plans require a valid debit or credit card
- You must set up a new plan for each semester
- This is the student’s responsibility
- If an instalment plan is breached, a replacement plan will not be offered
