What is the accommodation Code of Conduct?
The Code of Conduct applies to all students living in University accommodation.
It forms part of your licence agreement and you are required to follow it.
The Code of Conduct:
- Is displayed in your accommodation flat.
- Is included in your student handbook.
- Explains examples of offences.
- Outlines the penalties for breaking the rules.
Read the Student Code of Conduct.
I’ve been asked to attend a meeting. What happens next?
If there is a concern about a possible breach of the Code of Conduct, you may be invited to attend an investigatory meeting.
- You will be contacted with details of your appointment.
- The meeting is usually held with a Residence Life Officer from the Residence Life and Safeguarding Team.
- Meetings typically last around 30 minutes.
You must attend this meeting.
I can't attend my meeting
If you have a lecture, exam or another commitment that prevents you from attending:
- Contact the Residence Life Officer who invited you as soon as possible and before the meeting takes place.
- In most cases, your appointment can be rescheduled.
Who can I contact for support?
If you have questions about the Code of Conduct, contact the Residence Life and Safeguarding Team.
