The Code of Conduct applies to all residents in University accommodation and forms part of your licence agreement. If you live in Halls of Residence, you are required to comply with this code.
A copy of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your flat and is also in your handbook, detailing examples of offences and the penalties they carry.
If you have any questions about the Code of Conduct, please do not hesitate to contact one of your Student Support Officers.
I've been asked to attend a meeting: What happens next?
If you have been asked to attend an investigatory meeting, you will be contacted with an appointment to attend a meeting with one of your Student Support Officers. This will usually take place in the Student Support and Welfare Office and will last approximately 30 minutes. Please note, it is important that you attend this meeting.
This investigatory meeting will be an opportunity for you to explain to your version of the incident you have been asked to come in and discuss.
A decision will then be made in line with the Code of Conduct.
I can't attend my appointment
If you have a lecture or exam and cannot attend your meeting, you must contact the Student Support Officer who has written to you, in advance to explain this. It is usually possible for appointments to be re-arranged.
