- The provider is Gallagher Assist.
- Check your certificate of insurance for details of what’s covered (e.g., laptops, phones, bikes, etc.).
🔒 Staying covered
- Always lock your bedroom, flat doors, and windows.
- If you don’t secure your room and a theft happens, your insurance won’t apply.
📄 Making a claim
- Visit the Gallagher Assist website to start a claim.
- Have your policy number and details of the incident ready.
- Keep receipts or proof of ownership for valuable items — this speeds up the process.
🚨 Reporting a theft
- Immediately contact Campus Security and the Residence Life and Safeguarding .
- You’ll also be encouraged to report the theft to the police.
- The university team is here to support and guide you through the process.
