Canvas Community Guides
The Canvas Community is a great starting point for any Canvas query. Here, you'll find step-by-step guides on everything from customising your dashboard to participating in online discussions. While some of the terminology may differ from what we use at Herts, these official guides provide excellent, up-to-date information. We’ve complied a selection of those we think are likely to be the most useful with a help from our Student Technology Mentors.
- How do I use the Dashboard as a student?
- How do I use the Course Home Page as a student? - Note: The official guidance uses the term 'Course' whereas at Herts we use the term 'Module'
- How do I use the Inbox?
- How do I manage my Canvas notification settings?
- How do I add and modify text in the Rich Content Editor?
- How do I use groups as a student?
- How do I view Discussions as a student?
- How do I view my grades in a current course?
- How do I view Quizzes as a student?
- How do I view Assignments as a student?
