University opening times
The main University will be closed on Good Friday (18 April) to Easter Monday (21 April).
Learning Resources Centres (LRCs)
The College Lane and de Havilland LRCs will be open 24/7 if you need a quiet place to work over the Easter break. Find out more about LRC services and facilities at ask.herts.ac.uk/learning-resources-centres.
Book loans
Items you have on loan will not need to be returned over the Easter vacation period Saturday 12 April to Sunday 27 April inclusive.
Long term PC loans
Last day for collection is 13:00 Thursday 17 April and the service re-opens 10:00 Tuesday 22 April at the LRC Welcome desks.
Book reservations
You can continue to reserve books and use our Request a Scan service up until Wednesday 16 April at 12.00 and the amount of time we hold the item will be extended to accommodate the holiday period.
The reservation and Request a Scan service will reopen at 08.30 on Tuesday 22 April.
Keep track of your book loans. Just look for My Library Account on your StudyNet > Online Library page.
Study skills support
Our Library Skills Support on campus drop-ins in the Study Success Hub, will run until Thursday 10 April and restart on Tuesday 29 April.

Support services
Please note there will be no Helpdesk, library staff or on-site technical support during the holiday weekend.
- The LRC Welcome desk will close at 17:00 on Thursday 17 April and reopen at 10:00 on Tuesday 22 April.
- On-site technical support will be unavailable from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April inclusive, and any emails to helpdesk@herts.ac.uk will not be responded to over this period.

Student support
All services are open as normal throughout the Easter period apart from Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April, when the offices will be closed.
If you are living on campus and need to chat to anyone during the Easter break, just give +44 (0)1707 281010 a call and ask to speak to a Resident Assistant (RA). Our out of hours RA team will be available 24/7 over during the holiday, so there is always someone you can call.

Herts SU
Herts SU will remain open throughout the Easter break except Good Friday (Friday 18 April), Easter Monday (Monday 21 April). Please note our standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10.00-17.00.
The Forum bar and nightclub
The last event in The Forum before the Easter break will be on Friday 11 April. The first event in The Forum following the Easter break will be on Wednesday 9 May.
Herts SU Advice & Support Centre
Herts SU Advice & Support Centre will remain open throughout the Easter break with the exception of Good Friday (Friday 18 April), Easter Monday (Monday 21 April). Please note the Herts SU standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10.00-16.00.
Herts SU Welcome Desks
College Lane
The Herts SU Welcome Desk on College Lane will remain open throughout the Easter break with the exception of Good Friday (Friday 18 April) and Easter Monday (Monday 21 April) when we will be closed.
Please note our standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10.00-16.00.
de Havilland
The Herts SU Welcome Desk on de Havilland will close on Friday 11 April at 16.00 and re-open on Monday 28 April at 10.00.
Chaplaincy
Both The Key on College Lane and The Multi Faith Space on de Havilland will be open over the Easter break until 12am daily to accommodate night prayers.
