What support is available during office hours?
Living away from home and sharing accommodation can sometimes be challenging. You may experience issues such as:
- Noise from neighbours or flatmates.
- Shared kitchens not being kept clean.
- Problems with rubbish disposal.
- Feeling homesick or isolated.
- Something breaking in your accommodation.
- Concerns about the wellbeing of another student.
The Residence Life and Safeguarding Team is here to support you confidentially while you live on campus.
During weekdays, team members are available on both the College Lane and de Havilland campuses.
You can:
- Visit the office and speak to someone in person.
- Email reslife@herts.ac.uk.
- Call the team for support.
You may also wish to access Counselling Services.
What support is available outside office hours?
If a Student Support Officer is unavailable and your issue cannot wait until the next working day, Resident Assistants (RAs) are available to help.
You can contact an RA through the non-emergency Security contact number.
What if I live off campus?
If you live in private accommodation near the University, support is still available.
Off-Campus Student Support provides support during office hours for University of Hertfordshire students living in the local area.
