From Friday 29 August 2025, staff and students will no longer have access to the enterprise licenced version of Zoom, and Microsoft Teams will be the University's single online meeting and collaboration tool.
Many staff and students already use Teams for meetings, chat, and online teaching sessions. Your student Teams account also allows you to record and transcribe any Teams meetings you organise.
You can still use the Herts Zoom you previously set up, but you will only be able to join meetings, rather than schedule your own or record them.
You will no longer have access to Zoom cloud storage.
Action required:
- Download any Zoom recordings from the Zoom cloud storage that you want to keep. We won't be able to retrieve any recordings for you after 29 August.
