My timetable is incomplete. What should I do?
When viewing your timetable on StudyNet please make sure you are looking at the correct date as some courses do not start until later in the semester. You can check course start dates in your Student Record.
For new students, your full timetable will be available up to 72 hours (three working days – these do not include Saturday and Sunday) after you have registered. You can check your registration status in your Student Record.
If there is an issue with either your registration or module enrolments, please contact the Ask Herts Hubs.
Once registered and enrolled on your modules you will be allocated to teaching activities and your timetable should be updated within 72 hours (three working days – these do not include Saturday and Sunday). If after this time your timetable does not show the modules you are registered on correctly, please contact the Helpdesk on 01707 284678 or helpdesk@herts.ac.uk.
Please note that it may take up to 72 hours (three working days) for your optional modules to show on your timetable after you have selected them.
My timetable does not show my registered modules correctly. What should I do?
Please note that it will take up to 72 hours (three working days – not including Saturday and Sunday) from registering and enrolling on your modules to being allocated to timetabled activities.
If you have been removed from a module that you are no longer enrolled on you can expect to see that change on your timetable one working day after its removal. If after this time your timetable is still not showing the modules you are registered on correctly, please contact the Helpdesk on 01707 284678 or helpdesk@herts.ac.uk
If you are still seeing a module you believe you are no longer registered to please contact the Ask Herts Hubs.
If I can’t see my timetable, how will I know where where I need to go on my first day?
If you are a new student, your first week's timetable can be found in your Welcome letter. This will tell you where you will be able to see your programme’s start date, time, and location of your first session at Herts and the rest of the week.
This information will also be available on your Canvas programme site. Please check your joining instructions letter to find out how to access the Programme site.
I'm a referred / deferred student and my timetable is not what I expected? What should I do?
If your timetable is not what you expected please contact your Programme leader for advice.
I am a Consortium student and studying at one of the colleges (Hertford Regional, North Herts, Oaklands or West Herts) and I cannot see my timetable. What should I do?
Your timetable is created by the timetabling team based at the college you are studying at. You will need to contact your Programme Manager to receive a copy of this. Details of how to contact them will be in your Joining Letter. Please see our HIC FAQs.
How do I find my classroom?
You can find a map of campus by downloading the Herts Mobile app.
Where can I find accessibility information about classrooms on campus?
You can find accurate, up-to-date information aboutvenue access and classrooms on campus using the University of Hertfordshire Accessibility Guide on the AccessAble website and the AccessAble app (available on iOS and Android). It will help you easily and safely plan your journey around campus and remove the uncertainty of travelling to new places.
How are online sessions shown on my timetable?
Your sessions will be marked as ‘online’ on your timetable and will not have a room number and location. To access your online session, go to the relevant Canvas module and click on the units link on the left-hand menu of the module site to find session details including a link to join online.
How much time do I have to travel between classes on different campuses?
If you have classes scheduled on different campuses we have automatically scheduled a minimum gap of 30 minutes between those classes to allow you time to travel in between them.
What do I do if my tutorial group is incorrect or not visible?
Tutorial and workshop groups within modules are still being finalised for 2024-25 by each school and will be confirmed shortly.
Please check your timetable daily for updates.
I get the following message when I click on the Timetable link: ‘Sorry, we’re unable to find a timetable assigned to your record.’ What should I do?
Your 2024-25 student record has not been updated yet.
Please check again after you have completed registration.
Please note, if you are a student who is repeating, transferring or you have optional modules to select, the process may take longer. If you still see the same message, please contact the Ask Herts Hubs.
Can I make changes to my timetable?
Your timetable has been designed to reflect the academic requirements of your programme and provide you with a productive and enjoyable time on campus.
We understand students have different personal needs. For modules that have multiple groups, if you have a specific problem with your timetable there may be circumstances in which changes could be considered. Please be aware that changes between groups will only be possible if the School agrees and where there is capacity in the room being used.
If you wish to discuss your requirements, please see: Process for contacting your School
How do I link my timetable with my personal calendar on my computer or mobile device?
You can link your timetable with your personal calendar on your computer or mobile device. Follow our step-by-step instructions below on how to link your timetable to your personal calendar on your computer or mobile device.
