My timetable is missing classes
Check you are viewing the correct dates, as some modules may start later in the semester. You can check module start dates in your Student Record.
If you are a new student, your timetable will normally be available within three working days of completing registration.
Optional modules can also take up to three working days to appear.
If there is an issue with your registration or module enrolments, contact an Ask Herts Hub.
If your timetable is still incomplete more than three working days after registration and module enrolment, contact the Helpdesk on 01707 284678 or helpdesk@herts.ac.uk.
My modules are missing or incorrect on my timetable?
Changes to module registrations can take up to three working days to appear on your timetable.
If a module has been removed from your record, it should be removed from your timetable within one working day.
If your timetable is still incorrect after these times:
- Contact the Helpdesk if modules are missing.
- Contact an Ask Herts Hub if you believe you are still seeing a module you are no longer enrolled on.
I can’t see my timetable. Where do I go on my first day?
Your first week's timetable is included in your Welcome Letter.
You can also find this information on your Canvas programme site, including:
- start date
- time
- location
- first-week activities

I'm a referred or deferred student and my timetable doesn't look right
If your timetable is not what you expected, contact your Programme Leader for advice.
I am a Consortium student and can't see my timetable
If you study at Hertford Regional College, North Herts College, Oaklands College or West Herts College, your timetable is managed by the college.
Contact your Programme Manager or college help team for a copy of your timetable. Include:
- your name
- your programme title
- details of your query

Where can I find accessibility information about classrooms on campus?
Use the University of Hertfordshire AccessAble guide or the AccessAble app to find accessibility information for classrooms, teaching spaces and campus buildings.
The guide can help you plan your journey around campus and check access arrangements before you travel.
How do online classes appear on my timetable?
Online sessions are marked as Online on your timetable and do not include a room number or location.
To join an online session:
- Open the relevant module in Canvas.
- Select Units from the module menu.
- Open the session details and use the joining link provided.
How much time do I have between classes on different campuses?
If you have classes on different campuses, a minimum gap of 30 minutes is scheduled between them to allow time to travel.
My tutorial group is missing or incorrect
Tutorial and workshop groups may still be being finalised by your School.
Check your timetable regularly for updates.
I can't see a timetable in the Timetable Portal
If you see the message:
"Sorry, we're unable to find a timetable assigned to your record."
your student record may not have been updated yet.
Please check again after completing registration.
If you are:
- repeating a year
- transferring programme
- selecting optional modules
it may take longer for your timetable to be available.
If the message remains, contact an Ask Herts Hub.
Can I change my timetable?
Timetables are designed around the academic requirements of your programme.
If multiple teaching groups are available, timetable changes may be considered where:
- your School agrees to the change
- there is capacity in the alternative group

How do l add my timetable to my calendar?
You can link your timetable to your personal calendar on a computer or mobile device.
When viewing your timetable, select Subscribe in the top-right corner and follow the instructions.

Your timetable and any updates will continue to be available through StudyNet as they are confirmed by your School.
