Consortium college students - registration Information

As a consortium college student, you will need to register at both your college and at the University. Please speak to your respective college for information on their registration process.

You will have an ID badge for both the college where you study, and the University of Hertfordshire. You will be officially classed as a University student, and therefore entitled to use the University's facilities and resources.

How to register at the University of Hertfordshire:

1) You will receive an email from UH with your username and details on how to set up your University account. It is important you do this before attempting the next steps.

2) Once you have completed your account set up, you will be prompted to set up your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

3) You will then receive a second email to start the next stage of your registration. Please head to your joining portal and complete online registration via www.joining.herts.ac.uk logging in using your UH details.

4) Upload your identity documents to the joining instructions portal. You will need your passport OR birth certificate AND driving/provisional driving licence. Without proof of identity, you will not be able to register.

5) Please then upload your photo for your ID card. This must be a passport style photo with a plain background and no filters (smiling is allowed).

6) Once you have completed the above steps, your identity documents will be checked by our staff and you will be emailed and you will receive an email to confirm once you have been fully registered. If there is anything outstanding, the team will get in touch. If you have any issues with your registration, please contact us and we will be able to assist you.

7) Connect to the Wi-Fi and download the Herts Mobile app.  You will need to log in using your username and password.
