Find out what to do if you need more time for your assessment.
Coursework extension
A coursework extension is permission to hand in an assessment after the published deadline without either incurring a penalty or waiting to re-take an alternative assessment as a referred or deferred student. If you think that you would need up to 7 days extra, please look at coursework extension
Exceptional circumstances
During your degree programme you might be faced with personal, medical or family problems that are outside your control. If such problems occur, you may wish to make the University aware of your situation. You can submit an exceptional circumstances request to defer the submission of your assessment, without penalty, to the next available opportunity. It is advisable to get in touch with your module leader or programme leader at your earliest convenience to seek support. If you think you can’t submit your work by the deadline and have been having particular challenges during the Semester then please look at Exceptional circumstances
