Summer opening times

All you need to know about what is and isn't open on campus during the summer.

Learning Resources Centres (LRCs)

The College Lane and de Havilland LRCs remain open 24/7 over the Summer. Find out more about LRC services and facilities at ask.herts.ac.uk/learning-resources-centres.

Improving your College Lane LRC

We are creating some shiny new group and individual study spaces at the College Lane LRC ready for the start of term and there will be some disruption to ground and first floor PC and study zones,  (including Computer Science and Engineering specialist software PCs) while works take place over the Summer months.

Over this time, please use PCs, Macs and study spaces available on the second floor or alternatively why not use our de Havilland LRC which is unaffected by these changes.

We are also creating of a 7,000 volume Humanities Teaching collection (on College Lane) with the Humanities Research Collection remaining at de Havilland LRC.  We expect impact to be minimal as we gradually move books across and we’ll have arrangements in place to make sure you can continue to access all the books and resources you need during this time. Don't forget you can access the resources you need anytime, anywhere via our extensive digital book and journal collection on the Online library.

Study skills support

You can continue to access study skills support including online chat, 1-1 online appointments with a librarian and access to all our online study skills resources via Library SkillUP at go.herts.ac.uk/libraryskillup

Please note that our library and digital skills on campus drop-ins in the LRC Study Success Hubs have finished for the Summer and will restart again in September.

LRC café

The College Lane LRC café is closed over the Summer and will reopen in September for the start of termFor more information on food and drink outlets on campus and Summer opening times please see ask.herts.ac.uk/food-and-drink-at-college-lane and ask.herts.ac.uk/food-and-drink-at-de-havilland
