Welcome to Student Health, Wellbeing and Disability Services

Learn about the health, wellbeing, and disability support available to you as a Herts student.

Student Wellbeing is here to help you look after your mental and physical health, and any disability-related needs you have. 

Each of our professional and specialist services is delivered by trained and experienced staff, using a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to ensure that you get the best support possible. We can serve you in the most appropriate way to meet your needs, including face to face, telephone, and online appointments.

Student Wellbeing is an integral part of the Office of the Dean of Students. You’ll find us on College Lane in the Hutton Hub and on the De Havilland Campus.

Our 24/7 student support helpline and app

For immediate wellbeing support, ring our 24/7 helpline: 0808 196 3533 or use the Champion Health Wellbeing app at Pam Wellness, quoting code UH101. 

⚠️ Always ring 999 in an emergency.  

Our helpline service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, provided in collaboration with our partner, PAM Wellness.

Our Disability Advisers are here to discuss what works best for you and to help arrange and formalise the adjustments that will be most beneficial for your studies.

Harassment, Domestic and Sexual Misconduct Service

The specialist Harassment, Domestic and Sexual Misconduct Service can support you with issues relating to harassment, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Mental health services, counselling and therapy 

Our team of mental health advisors and accredited counsellors and therapists can support you to manage any personal, emotional and mental health difficulties you may be facing.

Office of the Dean of Students

The Office of the Dean of Students oversees student support across a range of areas, including: the Chaplaincy, Student Community and Safeguarding team, Student Procedures team, Residence Life and Safeguarding team, Medical Centre, and University Day Nursery.
