Getting started online

A quick guide to connecting to the internet and University online services

1. Setup your University login account

As part of the registration process, you will set up your University login account. You'll first be asked to set up a username and password to access University systems.

We also use multi-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or MFA) as an extra layer of security, so you will also need to set this up.

2. Get connected and set up your device

You can access the internet and your online services on your own device, or by logging into the computers in the Learning Resource Centre, study spaces, and computer labs.

3. Access StudyNet and your Canvas modules

StudyNet is your 24/7 online learning environment.

5.  Bookmark the systems maintenance pages

We regularly undertake planned IT maintenance and upgrade works to keep our systems safe and secure. Be sure to bookmark the University systems maintenance and service status pages to keep up to date and plan ahead.
